Cheap wireless in ear monitors

I’ve been looking at wireless in ear monitor solutions, scanning eBay for bargains, but it seems that you can expect to pay in excess of £200 for something remotely usable.

Then it struck me…

We already have a Samson S monitor (£41 on eBay) and a Behringer MA400 (£35 on eBay)
If I add a Bluetooth audio transmitter to the headphone socket of one of them, then I can use a Bluetooth audio headset to receive the signal… Et voila wireless in ear monitor solution for less than £80 (or for me with the personal monitor already, less than £40).

You can even use a Bluetooth audio receiver with your own headphones.

I’ve yet to try it, but it’s well worth giving it a go…
