Worship – Sunday 2nd October

Thoughts:

It’s been a real mixed bag of a week, this week with it’s highs and lows and to be honest with you, I was struggling with what to say, how to say it today.
But God knows me…

Luke 12:6 (MSG)
“What’s the price of two or three pet canaries? Some loose change, right? But God never overlooks a single one. And he pays even greater attention to you, down to the last detail—even numbering the hairs on your head! So don’t be intimidated by all this bully talk. You’re worth more than a million canaries.

God knows what I’m about.
Can be seen as daunting maybe scary, but God, the creator of heaven and earth who sent his son Jesus to die for us, loves us and accepts us, through His son. We may mess up say and do things that we regret, walked our own path, but God provides a way to him (CLWC verses)

1 John 1:9 (AMP)
If we freely admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just (true to His own nature and promises) and will forgive our sins dismiss our lawlessness and continuously cleanse us from all unrighteousness everything not in conformity to His will in purpose, thought, and action

Or you may have had a fantastic week, seen answers to prayer and so on, in both cases God has been there, carrying us, walking with us and it is a real privilege we have to know him and to praise him for what he has done, to worship him.

And you know we need to keep telling people about that, about the fact that Jesus died for you and me.

Ephesians 2:8-9 (NIV)
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— [9] not by works, so that no one can boast.

It’s all very well us having this, but don’t you want your friends, family neighbours to know it also?
